Artsy Fartsy

So I haven't posted in a while (sorry to me loyal readers...if I have any...which I don't think I do as of now ha) I have been rather busy. I'm blaming school, work and Netflix. It's also kind of like when I have a 3,000 word paper to write and I take a break every 10 minutes to watch "It's always Sunny". Just puuuusssshiiiinnn that deadline on back. I still get er' done.

Anywho...term 1 is done-so! It's pretty cray cray that I only have 4 more terms (hopefully) then I'll be back home. I've been gettin more homesick lately and I'm not too sure why. Actually I kind of know. I'm so sad that I will miss the birth of one of my very best friends first baby. I cannot wait to lay my eyes on little Noah. I'm bummed that I won't spend Christmas with my family ...which is a first. And there's always certain people who've been a huge part of your life that just never leave your mind. Even after so much past and the crazy circumstances that drove you apart, you just can't stop. Weird how that works yes? It's probably stubborness. However I constantly remind myself of how blessed I am to have this opportunity. Every time I start to feel stressed or fearful of the future, I open my Daily Devotional (which was given to me by my amazing friend Roxy-who is working for the FCA now in NY...sooo proud of her!) and realize there's no need for me to feel that way. It's amazing how comforting that knowledge and assurance is.

I have this week off so I'll be doing a bit of exploring. The coast seems to have been calling my name lately so I sense a day trip in my immediate future. There's only so long I can go without digging my feet in the sand and smelling the salty sea air. Perhaps it's my inner California girl that can't quite let go. I'm alright with it;) That Katy Perry sure knows her stuff. North Sea.....you get in my senses.

I might even find time to enjoy a proper brew.
